What: We'll be tackling some blackberry encroachments, freeing trees of invasive vines, and preparing areas for fall planting.
Where: Kingfisher Natural Area on Thornton Creek
When: Wednesday, June 30, 2:30pm.
What to Bring: Face masks are REQUIRED for this event. Volunteers should come prepared to be exposed to the elements and get dirty. Please bring closed toed shoes (work boots if you have them), water, snacks, face covering/mask, and work gloves if you have them (extras if it’s raining). Gloves can be provided for those that do not already have them.
Who: Anyone is welcome to attend even if you have no previous connection to NWOBS! Volunteers between ages 14-17 must have the signature/permission of a parent or guardian to participate. Volunteers under 14 are required to have a parent, guardian, or responsible adult present.
Parking: There is parking onsite.
Accessibility: Unfortunately there are no paved pathways at this site.
Safety: Volunteers are asked to abide by COVID-19 safety precautions - wear a mask, maintain a 6-foot distance between yourself and others, and sanitize your hands.

Registration Process: Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, space is limited and pre-registration is required! NWOBS will send an email prior to the event to confirm your registration.
Step 2: Print and *hand sign* the NWOBS Liability Release and bring it with you the day-of. We will have forms available onsite for those unable to print ahead of time. Our partner organization, EMBA, requires a separate liability release that they will have day-of to fill out.
If you or anyone in your household has any COVID-19 symptoms or if you are otherwise feeling sick, please stay home. We will see you at the next event!
